DIY Ice Cream Colors

Just want to share what I did to make the twins memorize the colors., because I can see that Jeymie is having hard time determining the color. Like what she did when the teacher told them to color the apple with red, she colored it brown.so the fresh apple becomes a rotten one hahaha. I don't know if she insist on using the brown color or what..but I'm afraid she's having a color blindness haha Exaggerated mom!

Red apples turns brown apple(rotten apple)

So to help them recognize color I search the net on how to introduce colors.,

Ice cream Colors

Close Up:)
I made this in the office and when done I bring home and paste in our wall..The twins were too happy and participate in our color asking game maybe because they find the visual aid so nice hehe:)
So far so good one by one, I let them memorize the color and jeymie's ever favorite color was black! She's having hard time remembering brown and their ever favorite color was blue. If they don' know the color they just answer me it's blue mama..

I just wish this ice cream colors will help you recognize even just the basic colors.

  9. very creative idea!

anyways, I have a friend that's color blind, he said that when he was little, he colored a heart brown.. (sorry).. so he relied on the words written on the crayons paper cover labeling what the color is..

  10. Just like you, I'm also a paranoid mom! I know my little girl knows the colors but sometimes she just wants to annoy me. good luck with the colors and the twins!

  11. I saw my niece doing the same thing. I keep buying her a coloring book but she always does 1 color per image XD

I think she recognizes the colors but just doesn't want to use them properly. Maybe it's the kids way of being a creative genius??!

But I'll be doing this when I have my own kid, to match the word with the color.
Maybe you can progress to a bring-me kind of game where they give you all the color red they can find.
